The Role:
This team is seeking an experienced Information Security Specialist to enhance their Group Information Security Team. This critical team is responsible for developing and implementing the overarching information security strategy, risk management, assurance, and capability development within the group. The role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on policy development and strategic information security at an enterprise level.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and communicate information security policies and procedures, ensuring they align with emerging security standards and frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT managers to draft and publish comprehensive documents related to information security policy and procedure.
- Provide technical writing support for internal policies and procedures.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to understand departmental needs and ensure alignment with information security governance.
- Proactively identify and implement policy improvements to meet business requirements while upholding security.
- Work with the document management team to review, edit, and update guidelines, policies, and manuals as needed.
- Facilitate the communication and implementation of information security policies, addressing any barriers to their application or compliance.
