Job Description

Job Title: Furniture Store Sales Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Furniture Store Sales Assistant to join our team at Big Lots. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by performing tasks such as restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and taking out the trash.
  • Sales Support: Assist customers with purchases, process transactions, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals, resolve customer issues, and maintain a positive store atmosphere.
Requirements:
  • Basic English Literacy: Possess basic English literacy skills to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
  • Math Skills: Possess basic math skills to accurately process transactions and maintain inventory levels.
  • Flexibility: Be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior Retail Experience: Prior retail experience is preferred but not required.
