Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager Position Overview

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and tax, with experience in managing a portfolio of clients and training junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
  2. Manage a portfolio of clients, providing regular updates and advice on accounting and tax matters
  3. Train and develop junior staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
  4. Assist with statutory audits and other ad-hoc projects as required
  5. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting and tax legislation, ensuring the company remains compliant
Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  2. ACA, ACCA, or AAT qualification or equivalent
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting and tax principles, including corporation and business tax computations
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
