We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Dismantler to join our team at British Metals Recycling Association. As a Heavy Vehicle Dismantler, you will be responsible for dismantling cars and removing parts in a safe and efficient manner.
Estimated salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Responsibilities- Dismantle cars and remove engines, transmissions, and other components in a safe and controlled environment.
- Conduct quality control checks on removed parts to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Load and unload vehicles using a forklift, ensuring accurate handling and storage of materials.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve agreed targets and deadlines.
- Prior experience in vehicle mechanics or heavy vehicle dismantling is essential.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong focus on health and safety, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects, with a valid manual handling certification.
