Azenta Life Sciences is looking for a highly skilled Toolroom Technician to join our team. As an apprentice, you will gain valuable experience and develop your skills in mechanical engineering and toolmaking.

About the Job

In this role, you will work alongside our experienced production team to maintain and repair our injection moulding tools. You will also be responsible for performing daily cleaning and maintenance tasks, as well as documenting your work using electronic records.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical assembly and disassembly, with experience working on CNC machine tools. Knowledge of hot runner systems and multi-cavity high-speed moulding would be an advantage.

We are offering a competitive salary of around £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements
  • C&G's, NVQ, or Apprenticeship training in mechanical engineering or toolmaking
  • Solid experience in mechanical assembly and disassembly, with knowledge of CNC machine tools
  • Ability to read and understand 2D component drawings, with experience with wiring drawings an advantage
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
