Job Description:

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a leading recruitment agency with a strong reputation for excellence, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Orthopaedic Team Leader to join their team. As a key member of the Operating Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and advising staff to ensure the highest standards of clinical care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Theatre Manager in leading and evaluating staff to identify and address development needs.
  • Supervise and educate junior staff, including Registered General Nurses (RGNs) and Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs), and provide clinical supervision.
  • Contribute to the advancement of the Operating Department by promoting excellence in clinical care.
  • Prepare the operating theatre for surgery by ensuring the necessary instrumentation, equipment, and supplies are available for specific procedures, and minimizing waste.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) qualification.
  • Valid HCPC or NMC registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years of orthopedic scrub experience.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in teams and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Previous leadership experience is advantageous, but we provide award-winning training and continuous professional development (CPD).
  • Completion of SFA (Surgical First Assistant) training is desirable.
