Job Title: Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes or Swindon. As a Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a small team of engineers, providing technical leadership, and carrying out site contamination assessments and site investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and mentor a small team of engineers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  2. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standard.
  3. Carry out site contamination assessments from Stage 1 Tier 1 to Stage 3, including scheduling contamination, waste classification, and geotechnical laboratory testing.
  4. Carry out site investigations for geotechnical appraisal and combined investigations using all common techniques.
  5. Design remediation works and validation, including interpretative geo-environmental report writing.
  6. Project management and client liaison, including project cost control.
  7. Carry out infiltration testing and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  8. Ensure that all team members have a good understanding of HSEQ and technical records.
  9. Full clean driving license is required.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field, with a related Masters Degree being advantageous. Chartership with a relevant body is also desirable. The candidate must have greater than 10 years experience specialising in Ground Investigation, especially Geo-Environmental aspects.
