About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SITS Specialist to join our team at Bath Spa University. As a key member of our Data & Insights Service, you will be responsible for the operational implementation and coordination of initiatives aimed at the continual improvement of student data and processes related to our student record system, SITS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and improve data quality within the student system, identifying potential areas for further optimisation and proactively addressing challenges during data quality monitoring.
  • Implement and support the data assurance strategy by performing complex data updates, conducting audits, and analysing student records using tools like Power BI and SITS.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify areas for process improvement, contribute to data quality development, and support university-wide digital transformation.
  • Share expertise, provide training, and stay informed on sector-wide data trends.
About You

You will be highly self-motivated and resourceful with comprehensive experience in Higher Education student records systems (e.g., SITS) and a strong background in data quality management. You will have expertise in data extraction, transformation, and analysis, along with advanced Excel skills and knowledge of broader Microsoft Office tools.

You will work collaboratively across teams, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines. A degree in a quantitative subject or equivalent experience, along with familiarity with the UK HE sector and data protection regulations, is essential.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of GBP 33,232 to GBP 36,924 per annum, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth within the university.
