We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our management team at our Bognor resort. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the focus on safety culture and supporting initiatives that reinforce our business's H&S vision and strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring departments to ensure they progress with continuous improvement and that standards are kept to an extremely high level.
- Providing direction, guidance, coaching, and development to resort management and leaders to drive forward their H&S programmes / improvements.
- Ensuring that good reporting, investigation, recording, and analysis of injury accidents, dangerous occurrences, near-miss incidents, and work-related ill health are monitored and documented.
- Supporting both Resort and Head Office on all aspects of H&S reports and procedures, including upcoming legislation changes and best practice.
- Managing both internal teams and external service providers to ensure full compliance with all H&S policies.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager with strong operational experience, a credible background in a similar environment, and the ability to deal with the day-to-day running of a busy resort. You should have knowledge and experience of H&S legislation, strong skills in formulating and reviewing Health and Safety plans, and managing risk in a guest-facing operation.
Requirements:
- General certificate in occupational safety & Health or equivalent or NEBOSH national diploma would be an advantage.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and engage your team, even at periods of high demand.
- Managing multiple priorities and adapting quickly to changing requirements.
- Flexible approach to shift patterns, as this is a 24/7 resort.
