Whistl, a leading delivery management company, is seeking an experienced Transportation Supervisor to join our depot team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities of drivers and ensuring that our services are delivered on time and within budget.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in transport, logistics, and leadership. You will work closely with our Depot Transport Manager to drive and deliver results, manage good communications and build strong relationships with suppliers and drivers. A large part of the daily activities will include managing and improving driver behaviours, infringements, and vehicle efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day activities of drivers, ensure they complete their tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage good communications and build strong relationships with suppliers and drivers.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve driver behaviours, infringements, and vehicle efficiencies.
  • Co-ordinate and execute agency and Subco requirements.
  • Ensure all other work declarations, RTWs, and infringements have been communicated with drivers and successfully signed off.
  • Daily checks to ensure all drivers receive a licence check and PPE.
  • Communicate all stored briefs and any special requirements to drivers.
  • Undertake infringement discussions with drivers.
  • Report all vehicle defects and escalate any damage-related defects to the transport manager.

This is a permanent full-time position, with a basic DBS check required.
