Job Summary:

Yorkshire Water is seeking a skilled Jet-Vac Technician to join our Customer Field Services department. As a Jet-Vac Technician, you will be responsible for operating a Jet-Vac in a safe and optimal way, maintaining Wastewater and Energy & Recycling assets, tanks, and wet wells. You will work closely with other Yorkshire Water teams on site to undertake planned, reactive cleaning, and pollution prevention works, minimizing impact and maximizing benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a Jet-Vac in a safe and optimal way to maintain Wastewater and Energy & Recycling assets, tanks, and wet wells.
• Work closely with other Yorkshire Water teams on site to undertake planned, reactive cleaning, and pollution prevention works.
• Ensure Health and Safety working practices and procedures are always complied with to ensure compliance with the Yorkshire Water Safety Policy.
• Maintain high standards for the sites you work on and the vehicles you operate, ensuring they are always fit for purpose.
• Report all defects to be repaired as soon as possible.

Requirements:

• A full valid driving licence and a Heavy Goods Vehicle licence C, plus Digi card and DCPC.
• Experience of driving vehicles with a liquid load.
• A strong Health & Safety background.
• A strong work ethic, practical mindset, and ability to work outdoors.
• Ability to find faults and diagnose the root cause of an issue.
• Competent in the use of IT systems.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work with others to solve issues.
• Good interpersonal skills to liaise with operational teams.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
