Senior Mechanical Engineer Opportunity

Perpetual Engineering, a pioneering company in engineered CHP & incineration systems, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to enhance its team. This individual will focus on resolving environmental challenges and crafting impactful engineering solutions.

About the Role
  • Pursue innovative engineering solutions that address pressing environmental concerns.
  • Work closely with clients to comprehend their specific challenges and offer bespoke engineering services.
  • Employ expertise in creating precise engineering estimates and summaries for customer proposals.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technological developments in the field and integrate them into daily work.
  • Partner with a dynamic group of engineers to create game-changing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Generate detailed cost estimates for system components, including incinerators, boilers, energy recovery, and emission control systems.
  2. Analyse project specifications, technical drawings, and customer inputs to design efficient engineering solutions.
  3. Participate in feasibility studies and risk assessments, identifying and mitigating potential challenges.
  4. Collaborate with project managers to establish project timelines and develop risk registers and requirements documents.
  5. Create detailed layout and schematic drawings for sales enquiries.
  6. Work closely with Manufacturing and service teams on internal cost estimates.
  7. Provide feedback to product management on standard product pricing.
Requirements
  • Substantial experience specifying and selling engineered systems solutions, preferably in industrial/CPG markets, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Willingsness to travel for site visits, client meetings, and project-related activities as required.
  • Exceptional analytical, prioritising, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), and planning skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

The estimated annual salary for this position is £55,000, based on experience and qualifications.
