Job Title: Education Support Professional

At Aspire People, we are seeking a dedicated Education Support Professional to join our team at an exceptional school in Rochdale. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to work with children and support their physical, emotional, and educational development.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will undertake activities with either individuals or small groups of children, usually in the presence of a teacher. They will establish supportive relationships with the children and parents to facilitate effective communication and partnership between school and home where appropriate. Additionally, they will carry out pre-determined educational activities and work programmes, ensuring specific guidelines are followed while promoting independent learning to support the children's understanding.

Responsibilities:
• Undertaking activities with either individuals or small groups of children to facilitate their physical, emotional, and educational development within a safe environment, usually in the presence of a teacher.
• Working to establish supportive relationships with the children and parents to facilitate effective communication and partnership between school and home where appropriate.
• Carrying out pre-determined educational activities and work programmes ensuring that specific guidelines are followed while promoting independent learning to support the children's understanding.
• Encouraging acceptance and inclusion of the child with special needs to support achievement and development.
• Promoting and reinforcing the child's self-esteem and encouraging the child to maximize their achievement and development.

Qualifications & Requirements:
This role requires a relevant NVQ2 or equivalent qualification, experience of working in a classroom, and at least 6 months experience as a Teaching and Learning Assistant and/or as a classroom assistant. The ideal candidate should be able to identify and work towards specific goals with children and colleagues, maintain good relationships with children and adults, and work as part of a team and be flexible.
