Principal Piping Designer

Costain is seeking a skilled Principal Piping Designer to join our team in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing piping systems for the Net Zero Teesside project, a large-scale CCUS project aimed at reducing carbon emissions in the Humber and Teesside industrial clusters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the production of manhour estimates for piping design and installation projects.
  • Develop and implement piping design and layout solutions for complex industrial projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Champion sustainability and safety by promoting personal safety and well-being, and contributing to the development of environmentally friendly solutions.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in piping design and plant layout within the Oil & Gas, Nuclear, and Energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of piping design principles, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
