Protocol Education is currently seeking dedicated graduates with a focus on mental health to join our team as Teaching Assistants. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing support and guidance to students, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every individual can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise your expertise in mental health to support students' emotional well-being and resilience.
  • Work closely with teachers to identify and address the specific needs of students with mental health challenges.
  • Provide one-on-one support and guidance to students experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties.
  • Assist in implementing strategies and interventions to promote positive mental health within the school community.
  • Collaborate with psychologists, and other support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.
  • Foster a culture of understanding and acceptance, promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma.
  • Help create a safe and nurturing environment where students feel valued and supported.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mental health-related field (e.g., psychology, counselling, social work).
  • Strong understanding of mental health issues affecting children and young people.
  • Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Experience working with children or young people in educational or mental health settings is advantageous but not essential.
  • Commitment to promoting positive mental health and well-being in the school community.

Salary: £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
