Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Manager and Deputy Manager to efficiently manage the home's operations, ensuring a caring environment.
  • Serve as a leader and supervisor, fostering a supportive team atmosphere among staff members.
  • Engage in hands-on care on a daily basis, promoting a proactive approach.
  • Report directly to the Home Manager or their designated representative, executing all duties outlined in the employment contract.

Additional Responsibilities in Absence:

  • Guarantee the home operates at a high standard, meeting requirements from proprietors, Local Authorities, Social Services, and Fire Prevention Officers.
  • Contribute to staff training development, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Oversee the medication system, including ordering, recording, administration, and disposal.
  • Aid in maintaining optimal staffing levels and the correct staff mix.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in dementia care.
