Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a wonderful Primary School in the BS22 area of Weston-Super-Mare.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to make a real difference in the lives of our students.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the SENCO and other members of staff to provide individualized support to children with ASD needs.

You will need to be able to communicate clearly, use your initiative to support children with varied abilities and needs, and provide a safe and calming environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with ASD needs in a mainstream school setting
  • Work closely with the SENCO and other staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Provide a safe and calming environment for children to learn and thrive
  • Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents
