Salary: £14-£17 per hour
Navis Consulting is working with a global leader in lightweight composite structures, serving various markets in marine, defense, automotive, and aerospace. As a Composite Laminator, you will work in a team environment, collaborating on a range of products. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Laminating and Tooling: Perform a variety of laminating processes, including wet-lay, infusion, vac-bagging, pre-preg, or RTM, across a broad range of products.
- Lay-up Specifications: Read and understand lay-up specifications to ensure accurate execution.
- Quality Control: Check information on drawings for clarity and verify route card instructions are correct.
- Process Adherence: Follow established processes to maintain the highest quality standards at all times.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and in good working order.
- Department Maintenance: Keep the department clean and organized.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in the Marine, Aerospace, Automotive, or other quality-driven industry.
- Skills: Familiarity with pre-preg autoclave processes and materials such as carbon and glass.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy levels.
- Communication: Good verbal communication and listening skills.
- Time Management: Ability to work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
- Adaptability: Used to working in a fast-moving environment.
- Desirable Skills: Motorsport/Automotive composite experience and ability to read engineering drawings.
