Head of Finance Opportunity

Gleeson Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation in search of a highly skilled Head of Finance. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to join a dynamic team based in Birmingham City Centre.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the finance function, driving financial strategy, and implementing cost-saving initiatives. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Cost Management: Develop and execute strategies to optimise expenditure and enhance financial efficiency.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee and refine financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Team Development: Manage and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification with a degree in accountancy, economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role with a strong track record in cost management and financial process improvement.
  • Excellent understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading cross-functional projects and driving organisational change.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
  • Advanced analytical skills and a strategic mindset with a keen eye for detail.
