Job Summary:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:2 Tutor to join our client schools in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about working with students and making a positive impact on young learners' lives with LAC and SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions to two students, focusing on their individual learning needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans for the students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, provide regular feedback, and adjust teaching strategies, as necessary.
  • Foster a positive and supportive relationship with the students to build their confidence and motivation.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working with Looked After Children (LAC) and students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Relevant teaching or tutoring qualifications.
  • Strong understanding of the educational and emotional needs of LAC and SEMH students.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to dealing with students and their needs.
  • An updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
