Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing statutory accounts for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Assisting with management accounts production, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Handling personal tax, corporate tax, and VAT returns for clients.
  • Performing general bookkeeping duties using Xero or QuickBooks.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior staff members and trainees to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an accountancy practice environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support junior staff.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive a salary of £35,000 - £45,000, negotiable dependent on experience and background. A highly competitive benefits package is also on offer, including study support and further progression opportunities.
