Print Designer Role

The Print Designer role is a vital component of the Boden brand's success, contributing to the company's overall profitability by delivering high-quality pattern design, selection, and production management that embodies the Boden aesthetic. Understanding the key customer demographics and their preferences is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design patterns that cater to the customer base, ensuring products meet their requirements while exciting and engaging them.
  • Explore innovative sources of inspiration and conduct research on seasonal colors and pattern trends suitable for Boden.
  • Prepare range presentations on CAD, collaborating closely with design to showcase the best possible patterned options for each style and story across all ranges.
  • Develop and improve print methods with suppliers.
  • Ensure the Boden brand values are reflected in all aspects of work, from design development to production.
  • Develop a deep understanding and affinity with the Boden core customer.
  • Continuously seek inspiration and trends, participating in development/research/comp shopping trips as required.
The Ideal Candidate
  • A creative design passion with experience in the Womenswear space.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's in an appropriate field.
  • Ability to balance brand with business while focusing relentlessly on the consumer.
  • Trend understanding with industry awareness and knowledge of contemporary brands.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all functional areas while being able to work independently.
  • Goal-oriented and experience of working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to react quickly to changing business needs and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Illustrator and/or Miro.

  • A creative flair with a passion for creating beautiful and desirable designs.
  • Ability to collaborate at all levels, combined with the ability to listen and problem-solve.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to positively express opinions and influence.
