About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at St Elizabeth Hospice. As a Zest Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing holistic, person-centred care and support to young adults living with progressive illness and complex health care needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs of patients and their families, identifying priorities of care and referring on to appropriate professionals as necessary.
  • Develop and deliver individualized care plans, working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless care.
  • Provide skilled and specialist care to patients, including administering medications and treatments within Hospice and NMC guidelines.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to Healthcare Assistants, ensuring effective use of resources and promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Participate in the Hospice education programme, maintaining awareness of research and relevant findings to inform practice.

Requirements

  • First Level Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience, with a proven track record of working with complex care needs.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to deal with complex matters.
  • IT literate, with the ability to learn and become proficient in IT programmes and databases.
