Nursing Leadership Role in Sports Medicine

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Outpatients Department at The Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health. Reporting to the Outpatient Nurse Manager, the purpose of this role is to ensure high standards of nursing care are met and maintained, monitoring compliance of drug administering and providing support to all clinicians.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping individuals make a difference to their sports, lives, and health. You will have management experience, with a background in sport medicine, orthopaedics, and/or outpatient services. Pre-assessment experience and skills are also essential.
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring high standards of nursing care are met and maintained
- Monitoring compliance of drug administering
- Providing support to all clinicians
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- NMC Registered Nurse Level 1 qualification
- Management experience
- Experience in sport medicine, orthopaedics, and/or outpatient services
- Pre-assessment experience/skills
- Clinical sound and competent
- Phlebotomy trained
- Wound care management
This role offers a competitive salary of £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include:
