Job Title: Packaging Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Design Engineer to join our team at Global Packaging Group. As a key member of our packaging development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative packaging solutions that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver packaging projects that meet customer requirements and deadlines.
  2. Design and develop packaging materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing methods to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  3. Conduct testing and validation to ensure packaging meets performance and stability standards.
  4. Communicate with customers, sales, and manufacturing teams to provide estimates, specifications, and samples to complete projects on time.
  5. Manage projects using project management techniques to ensure timely completion and delivery to customers.
  6. Report on project activity and provide status updates to monitor progress.
  7. Follow established departmental work practices and processes to deliver consistent performance and quality.
  8. Identify opportunities to improve existing designs and production techniques to enhance profit margins and performance.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An engineering degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
  • Three to five years of related experience and/or training.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and technical procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, MAS 500, AutoCad, Solidworks, and other relevant software.
Work Environment:

This role requires occasional work near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and moderate noise levels.
