About the Role

At National Nuclear Laboratory, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe delivery of project activities within our operational nuclear facilities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Carry out commissioning performance and safety testing, documenting accurate testing results and performance data.
  • Mark-up engineering drawings and documentation to reflect the 'as-built' condition of installed and commissioned plant and equipment.
  • Document design, installation, quality performance, and safety non-conformances.
  • Provide commissioning progress reporting and supervise third parties when required.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and provide commissioning expertise into the design and safety case process.
  • Ensure lifetime records are correctly documented and passed to document control for filing.

Essential Criteria

  • Time-served indentured Mechanical/Process Apprenticeship.
  • Minimum ONC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Process Engineering.
  • Demonstrable engineering experience in the nuclear industry.
  • Demonstrable commissioning experience in the nuclear industry.
  • Experience in producing performance test documentation.
  • Experience in producing safety test documentation and the use of MS Office applications.
