Job Title: Temporary Assistant Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Temporary Assistant Accountant to join our team at Trinity House Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client during a critical period of system implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Management: Accurately manage and process large volumes of financial data to ensure seamless financial processes.
  • Monthly Reconciliations: Assist with monthly bank, ledger, and account reconciliations to guarantee accurate financial records.
  • Ledger Closing: Support the month-end closing process, ensuring all ledgers are accurate and finalised within the required deadlines.
  • Ad-Hoc Financial Tasks: Provide general assistance to the finance team, completing various tasks needed to prepare for the system implementation.
  • Preparation for System Implementation: Ensure data integrity and assist in organising financial information in preparation for the upcoming system transition.
  • Financial Reporting: Help with preparing financial reports and documentation as needed.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Support invoicing and payment processes, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience in an accounting or finance role, ideally with exposure to handling large volumes of data and performing monthly reconciliations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and Excel, with the ability to efficiently manage and analyse data.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when dealing with reconciliations and ledger closing.
  • Adaptability: Able to quickly adapt to changing priorities and take on ad-hoc tasks as needed to support the team.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, temporary role.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with the finance team.
