Job Title: Behaviour Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students who exhibit behavioural challenges, working closely with class teachers, support staff, and the SEN team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support or small group interventions for students with behavioural challenges, using behaviour management techniques to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Support the development and implementation of personalised behaviour management plans, working collaboratively with teachers and other staff to create a tailored approach for each student.
  • Build trusting relationships with students to help them feel supported and understood, using empathy and patience to create a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records and providing regular updates to teachers and other staff.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social interaction and helping students develop their social and emotional skills.
Requirements:
  • Preferably have experience working with children or young people, either in a school or similar setting.
  • Be patient, empathetic, and resilient with a passion for supporting vulnerable students.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Work effectively as part of a team but also independently when needed.
