Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the grid connection process with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs).
  2. Assist with the implementation of tech-enabled grid control systems and explore innovative solutions.
  3. Design and analyze low-voltage (LV) and high-voltage (HV) electricity networks using software such as WINDEBUT, IPSA, and others.
  4. Analyze electricity networks for connections applications, including self-determination of point of connection for LV and 11kV connections.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, DNOs, IDNOs, and create ICP drawings and applications for connection offers.
  6. Support the ICP tender process.

Requirements:

  1. Extensive experience in LV and HV electrical distribution network design.
  2. NERS design approval experience with DNO, IDNO ICP.
  3. Proficiency in using software such as WinDebut, IPSA, ELEK cable, HV, SafeGrid.
  4. A self-starter attitude with minimal supervision required.

Desirable Skills:

Extensive knowledge of connections processes and associated standards (CCCMS, ECCR, etc.).

This role focuses on LV and HV distribution network design, rather than building electrical installations subject to BS7671.
