The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pathway Manager to lead the administrative and clerical service in the Gastroenterology department.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of administrative staff to ensure a comprehensive service is provided to the Gastroenterology department.
- Manage and coordinate the patient journey from referral to discharge, ensuring smooth running of the patient RTT and Cancer journey.
- Support national RTT targets and internal Trust/divisional performance.
- Collaborate with the Operations/Service Managers team to achieve management requests.
- Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values.
- Diploma level qualification or equivalent experience.
- RSA 2 or RSA 3 word processing/typing or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- English and Math at GCSE level or equivalent.
- Strong working knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office package.
- Knowledge of Cerner.
- Courses/further study attended to demonstrate evidence of personal development.
- Previous experience of working with the public and/or patients in a healthcare environment.
- Previous administrative and organisational experience.
- Experience of dealing with non-routine and complex problems.
- Experience of managing staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent customer care practice, being polite, sympathetic, patient, and diplomatic.
- Understanding patient confidentiality.
- Knowledge of Cerner.
- Ability to confidently interact and share knowledge with staff at all levels.
