About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the tendering process to secure competitive rates and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Oversee the pre-qualification of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Review and negotiate contract documents, including NEC and JCT contracts, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Forecast and manage project costs throughout the lifecycle, ensuring financial efficiency and minimizing risks.
  • Procure project materials efficiently, optimizing costs and delivery schedules to meet project deadlines.
  • Prepare valuations and variations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain meticulous records of project transactions and documentation, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Compile and negotiate final contract accounts with clients and subcontractors, ensuring fair and accurate settlements.
  • Manage subcontractors effectively, resolving queries and disputes in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying roles, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience in civil engineering projects is desirable, but not essential.
  • Chartered status would be advantageous, but not required.
