Legal Counselor

Pembrook Resourcing is seeking a highly skilled Legal Advisor to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise the business on all legal issues relating to agreements, litigation, consumer complaints, planning, and ad hoc property projects.
• Manage all aspects of civil litigation claims, including drafting substantive responses, Proceedings, and Particulars of Claim/Defence.
• Liaise and negotiate with lenders regarding rates, terms, operating agreements, and consumer complaints.
• Advise the business on applicable legal obligations, identifying and rationalizing legal risk, and ensuring legal input to internal governance and compliance processes.
• Contribute to the drafting of policy, process, and guidance on legal issues.
• Prepare and deliver in-house training on legal topics.
• Liaise with and manage the business's external legal services provider.
• Complete all internal and external reporting requirements, including assisting the compliance and accounts team with FCA returns.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of business law and litigation procedures.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
