Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered General Nurse to join our team at Hire Staff. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of our residents.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care Coordination: Coordinate, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient programs of care, focusing on risk assessment and risk management strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the home and create an atmosphere conducive to the best interests of the residents.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report any ill health amongst residents and make requests for GP visits where necessary.
  • Empowerment and Support: Support the empowerment of residents, maintaining their dignity, rights, and advice, while upholding professional responsibility for individuals in our care.
  • Care Planning: Ensure that individual care plans are completed and maintained in conjunction with residents, relatives, and other healthcare professionals, adhering to NMC guidelines.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Participate in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of specific therapeutic interventions.
  • Health Supervision: Assess residents in all aspects of their care needs, providing health supervision and attention through direct nursing care when needed.
  • Resident Support: Assist with social and healthcare needs of new residents, maintaining ongoing assessment and review of all other patients.
  • Regular Checks: Conduct regular checks on residents at intervals determined by the Matron.
  • Active Care and Rehabilitation: Support the development of processes and practices for active care, recovery, and rehabilitation.
  • Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medicines and document the same in accordance with The Geoghegan Group procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines.
