Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and professionally qualified Mental Health Practitioner to join our well-established operational team working within the Adults Community Mental Health Team in WAM (Windsor, Ascot & Maidenhead). The post holder will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services to mental health service users and their carers.

Main Duties of the Job

The successful candidate will work within the WAM Community Integrated Mental Health Services, holding a caseload and focusing on delivery of a specific time-limited intervention using the recovery model. The care and treatment will focus on empowering service users to use their strengths, skills, and special interests to help in their recovery, while under the secondary services working with our Multidisciplinary Team.

Person Specification
  • Essential criteria: Degree/Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, Current NMC Registration
  • Desirable criteria: Specialist knowledge acquired through training in a specialised discipline

Previous Experience
  • Essential criteria: Previous knowledge and experience of working in a care environment and with service users who have complex mental health needs
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Essential criteria: Experience of clinically supervising junior and unqualified staff and mentoring students, Ability to administer depot medication, Substantial experience of managing a busy caseload of service users with a range of mental health conditions
