We are seeking an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join our Fleet workshop team at North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles to ensure they are in optimal condition for patient transport.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair vehicles to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards
- Diagnose and repair complex vehicle faults using computer-based diagnostic systems
- Work independently with minimal supervision to complete tasks and meet deadlines
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry developments
- City and Guilds certificate in motor vehicle technology or NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications and experience
- Good standard of education, minimum 3 GCSE or equivalent
- Full driving license
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Driving license C1 + D1 (working towards)
- MOT tester certification
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24-hour, 365-day accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport. Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West, providing non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
