Job Title: Deputy Manager - Supported Living

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our Supported Living team at Empower Family Group. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Outreach and Supported Living Manager in providing a stable, structured, and therapeutic environment for our service users.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the manager in promoting the individuals' care plans, reflecting their wishes and changing needs.
  • Provide guidance on young person-focused practices, nurturing the road to independent living, such as exploring suitable college courses, managing personal finances, and expanding social skills.
  • Support service users in all aspects of their lives, personally, emotionally, physically, socially, or vocationally.
  • Encourage service users to make choices and decisions for themselves and support them to do new things in a way that keeps them safe.
  • Be flexible in your approach and work for the benefit of the service users and colleagues.
  • Work sleep shifts or waking nights if required.
  • Be a good role model for the staff team at all times.
  • Ensure the staff team are supported, mentored, and receive the highest quality of supervision and coaching.
  • Undertake all duties of your role with due diligence and pride.
  • Be responsible and accountable for the young people's safety and well-being at all times.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check for child and adult workforce with barred list checks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the care sector and relevant legislation.
