Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake and lead UK Habitat Classification Surveys and protected species surveys
  • Experience of undertaking BNG Assessments and production of Habitat Management and Monitoring Plans (HMMPs)
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs), Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA), mitigation strategies, enhancement plans, and European Protected Species licence applications
  • Hold at least 2 protected species licences
  • Thorough understanding of UK and EU legislation, planning policy, and best practice
  • Experience in running your own projects and being client-facing, providing clear advice at the concept/design stage and supporting clients through planning and implementation
