Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker

Gray Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Shrewsbury. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with complex needs, including ASD, severe speech and language difficulties, and ADHD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2:1 support to an individual with complex needs, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Support the individual in accessing community resources, including outdoor activities and social events.
  • Implement detailed care plans and risk assessments to ensure the individual's safety and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive support package.

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving License (essential).
  • Social care experience, ideally within mental health and with some experience of supporting individuals with Schizophrenia.
  • Experience providing encouragement to a person with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities.
  • Experience supporting individuals with behaviours which may be considered challenging.
  • Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
  • Current Right to Work in the UK and at least 6 months of employment in the UK.
