Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented Graduate Structural Engineer to join our team at the Structural Engineering Alliance Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing designs using the latest software, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring projects are properly resourced.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful high-value projects and develop design experience and skills.

A competitive salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum will be offered commensurate with the importance of this role within our company.

About the Role:

  • Create and manage designs using the latest design software.
  • Liaise with key clients and discuss design/technical solutions with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are appropriately resourced delegating work to team members programming deliverables and monitoring progress.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Structural Engineering or related discipline.
  • Understanding of the use of design tools within a BIM environment.
  • Use of industry design standards i.e. DMRB; Manual for Streets; NJUG SS Getc.
  • Problem solver able to offer solutions to challenges.
  • Able to work and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Confident articulate collaborative & proactive.
  • Eagerness to learn and to develop your skills and career with training support.
  • Good time management and organisational skills to efficiently manage workload.
  • A good knowledge of the CDM regulations in addition to British standards and EU regulations.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel across the UK to visit sites and other JMS offices.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK and be able to demonstrate proof when requested.
