Residential Support Professional

Polaris Community seeks a skilled Residential Support Professional to join our team in providing care and education for boys aged 6-18. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the resilience, self-esteem, and abilities of young individuals.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and listening skills, with a willingness to learn and work collaboratively as part of a small team. Flexibility in availability for sleep-in nights and shift work is also essential.
Main duties include supporting daily routines, room cleans, life skills independence, socialisation, and bed-time routines. You will also attend medical appointments, support plans on activity planners, and complete daily paperwork, room checks, and housecleaning tasks.
Key requirements include holding a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent. A DBS check at enhanced level is also mandatory.
We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a sleep-in allowance of £62.64 per night. Benefits include up to 6 weeks holiday per year, all meals on duty provided, company pension, access to wellbeing programmes, comprehensive training programme, and promotion opportunities.
- Main Duties:
- Support daily routines, room cleans, life skills independence, socialisation, and bed-time routines
- Attend medical appointments and support plans on activity planners
- Completion of daily paperwork, room checks, and housecleaning tasks
- Complete food and shopping needs, meal preparation, and kitchen hygiene/laundry duties
- Liaise and build relationships with families and sort family time contacts
- Requirements:
- Flexibility in availability for sleep-in nights and shift work
- Understanding of issues facing young people in care
- Hold Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent

- Rotating start times of 08:00, 12:00, 14:00
- 2 full days on, 2 days off
