Facilities Operations Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Supervisor to oversee our operations and ensure the highest standards of environments across Domestic Services and Catering Services on site, as well as some interactions with our Portering Service.
Main Responsibilities- Provide facilities support services to the Ferndene Hospital, which provides services and treatment to Children and Young People.
- Oversee the operations of Domestic Services and Catering Services, ensuring the highest standards of environments.
- Interact with the Portering Service as required.

Person Specification- Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety, COSHH, Fire, Lifting/Handling and Risk Assessment Regulations.
- Sound knowledge and experience of Soft FM techniques and methods.
- A sound knowledge of Food Preparation, Food hygiene and food service.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Organisation Skills.
- Ability to meet the mobility requirements of the post.
- Willingness to learn new skills during training.
- NHS/Healthcare establishments Policies and procedures.
- Basic computer skills.
- Previous supervisory skills (or transferable experience).
- Ability to communicate with a wide variety of staff.
- Previous NHS/health care setting experience.
- Experience within multiple elements of SOFT FM or transferable skills.
- Hold a recognised Qualification such as NVQ Levels 1 and 2 in a relevant Soft FM department.
- NVQ Level 3 supervisory qualification or equivalent experience.
- Intermediate Food hygiene Certificate or willingness to work towards.
- Health and Safety Qualification.
