Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Practice Manager Assistant to join our team at NHS Jobs. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the Practice Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staffing and People Management
    • Evaluate and oversee the induction and training of new staff members
    • Organize and ensure that all staff are adequately trained to fulfill their roles
  • Recruitment and Induction
    • Support the Practice Manager in planning and coordinating the recruitment, induction, and training of new administrative staff
    • Assist in the preparation of weekly/monthly shift planning for Practice Staff
  • Training and Development
    • Identify training and development needs for Practice staff
    • Maintain up-to-date HR documentation, including job descriptions, employment contracts, and employment policies
  • HR Administration
    • Monitor staff annual leave, sickness, and absence
    • Mitigate any impact on practice staffing rotas
  • Confidentiality and Compliance
    • Ensure all Practice staff are aware of the need for confidentiality, both of patient and Practice information
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to have a strong understanding of HR practices and procedures.
