About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Special Guardianship Support Worker. This exciting opportunity will enable you to make a positive impact on the lives of Special Guardianship Families, providing responsive and specialized support to help them thrive within their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Special Guardianship Families to achieve outcomes within planned pieces of work, leading on support as part of the Team Around the Child where targeted family support is required.
  • Develop and deliver support groups, training, and networking events to bring Special Guardianship families together and enhance their access to support.
  • Collaborate with the wider network to ensure seamless support for Special Guardianship families, breaking down barriers and promoting best outcomes.
  • Take ownership of the development of specific areas of the Special Guardianship Support Offer, utilizing your expertise and creativity to drive positive change.
  • Provide empathetic and trauma-informed support to Special Guardianship families, understanding the impact of early trauma and issues affecting children and young people.
