Are you a skilled tradesperson looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Training Specialist to join our team

Job Purpose:

As a Technical Training Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and support to our customers in the drywall industry. You will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and develop training programs that meet their requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Health and Safety: Ensure the safety of yourself and others by following Health and Safety procedures.
  • Product Promotion: Promote our products and systems in a professional and articulate manner through social media, customer interactions, and presentations.
  • Internal Stakeholder Support: Use your trade-based knowledge to support internal stakeholders, including R&D, Technical project teams, Marketing, and Manufacturing.
  • Customer Engagement: Inspire customers through high-quality teaching and learning, and facilitate honest and productive conversations about how to support customers.
  • Training Delivery: Impactfully deliver CPDs, training, demonstrations, and Toolbox Talks to various stakeholders, including Cat A customers, construction colleges, architects, and main contractors.
  • Training Development: Create and control new CPDs and training courses to address skills gaps and industry understanding.
  • Training Management: Manage training diaries, bookings for CPDs/training, and toolbox talks for a region in line with KPI expectations.
  • Case Management: Support the case management process through investigation and feedback to relevant stakeholders.
  • Product Testing: Support product testing at independent laboratories and provide necessary feedback to ensure success.
  • CRM Management: Regularly use and store site reports on the CRM system and project data capture.
  • Team Improvement: Actively drive improvements to the External Technical Team and wider Technical Team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Trades background is essential.
  • Previous experience in the drywall or building industry.
  • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Trained to Petals, AET, or equivalent to deliver training is beneficial.
  • Facilitation/presentation skills.
  • IT literate to be able to use digital social media and Microsoft platforms.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Structured problem evaluation and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative.
  • Efficient diary management.
