Position Overview:

We are seeking a proficient Senior Systems Administrator / 3rd Line Engineer to join our client's IT department. This role is pivotal in sustaining and enhancing the organization's critical IT infrastructure.

Contract Duration: Initial 12-month contract

Work Arrangement: Remote

Compensation: £550 - £600 - INSIDE IR35

Clearance Requirement: Active SC Clearance is mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

  • 3rd Line Technical Support: Deliver expert-level technical assistance and resolution for intricate issues within the client's hybrid IT landscape. Provide advanced technical support to operational and project teams as necessary.
  • User Assistance: Support 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line queries as required, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of user challenges.
  • Server and Cloud Management: Oversee and maintain Windows Servers and Azure environments, ensuring peak performance and security. Execute complex configurations and installations of server, storage, and communication platforms for routine operations or project needs.
  • ITIL and Service Management: Function within an ITIL framework, ensuring all support activities conform to service delivery best practices and standards.

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Windows Server Management: Expertise in administering and maintaining Windows Server environments.
  • Hyper-V Virtualization: Proficient in utilizing Hyper-V for virtualization and managing virtual machines.
  • Azure Management: Experience in administering Azure cloud services, including virtual networks, storage solutions, and identity management.
  • Hybrid IT Infrastructure: Understanding of managing both on-premises and cloud-based systems.
  • ITIL Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL principles and best practices in service delivery.
