About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineering Leader to join our team at Oscar Associates (UK) Limited. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of our software systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and enhance our robotics systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of software systems for robotic applications, utilizing C# and the.NET framework to produce reliable and scalable solutions.
  • Oversee the creation of software systems, from embedded code to high-level systems integration, ensuring collaboration and solid communication among team members.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, helping them to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Manage projects, ensuring timely completion and meeting of project goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Expertise in C# and the.NET framework, with a strong understanding of software development principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with hardware and machinery, with a strong understanding of how software interacts with physical systems.
  • Previous experience leading teams and mentoring other engineers, with a proven track record of success.
  • Degree in an engineering-related field, such as computer science or software engineering.
Desirable Skills
  • Strong background in working with microcontrollers and PLCs, with experience in developing software for these platforms.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams on technical projects, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Lead/Principal position, with a proven track record of success.
