Role Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Disability Youth Worker to join our team in delivering the Young Tower Hamlets Universal Safe Spaces offer. As a key member of the Tower Hamlets Council Pension Fund team, you will be responsible for working with young people, supporting their personal, social, emotional, and educational development.

About the Team

The Young Tower Hamlets team is dedicated to providing high-quality youth work services across the borough. We believe in creating a safe and inclusive environment for young people to engage in various activities, build positive relationships, and access additional support when needed. Our team is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people in Tower Hamlets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people accessing the Young Tower Hamlets Universal Safe Spaces offer.
  • Engage with young people through one-to-one conversations and group work activities, contributing to their holistic development.
  • Support building duties, including opening and closing buildings for session delivery, and undertaking relevant health and safety tasks.
Requirements
  • A recognised Youth Work Qualification (Level 2) or willingness to work towards achieving qualification as part of the probationary period.
  • Experience of engaging with young people individually or in groups, demonstrating the ability to develop rapport and maintain positive relationships.
  • Ability to develop and deliver positive activities facilitating young people's holistic development.
Benefits
  • A competitive salary: £35,814 to £37,437 FTE.
