Job Title: Workshop Engineer

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our workshop team as a Workshop Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including the strip-down of Terberg shunt units for salvage and scrap.

Key Responsibilities:

• Removing parts from vehicles with care to identify salvage or scrap.
• Operating machinery and tooling in a safe manner, adhering to health and safety protocols.
• Working within a team to assist and support colleagues where required.
• Manual handling of equipment and materials.
• Following instructions and guidance from colleagues.
• Maintaining high standards, keeping a clean and tidy work area.
• Undertaking other duties as reasonably required.

Standards of Performance:

• Effective communication within a team.
• Ability to follow instructions provided.
• Opportunities for professional development and progression into the repair side of the workshop.

Critical Skills and Knowledge:

• Some mechanical experience.
• Knowledge and confidence in using hand tools, axle stands, jacks, etc. in a safe manner.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Forklift license.
• Crane operation experience or license.
