AI Researcher - LLM / ML Infrastructure

This position is part of a cutting-edge AI Innovation Team at a leading global tech company, working on AI Ops & LLM Research. The company is dedicated to engineering AI systems that revolutionize industries worldwide.

As an AI Researcher, you will play a crucial role in developing a robust framework for rapid training and experimentation of large language models. You will develop the core inference engine to deploy large machine learning models to customers at scale and across distributed systems, contributing significantly to the automated pipeline, optimizing for high throughput training runs and rapid experimentation while achieving top hardware efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance computing clusters across GPU/TPU, preferably in PyTorch.
  • Develop efficient serving of large machine learning models at scale, including quantization and distributed computing, leveraging libraries such as deepspeed.
  • Apply strong software engineering acumen with expertise in software design/architecture, particularly in Python.
  • Utilize cloud experience working with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AI research and efficiently implement these systems.
  • Prior experience at a leading machine learning company (OpenAI, DeepMind, Meta, Anthropic, HuggingFace, etc.) is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional ML engineering skills.
  • Experience in creating and managing high-performance computing clusters.
  • Proficiency in efficient serving of large machine learning models at scale.
  • Strong software engineering acumen with expertise in software design/architecture.
  • Cloud experience working with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Understanding of the latest AI research.
