Children's Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Children's Support Worker to join our expanding team at Brook Street Social Care. As a key member of our residential children's services team in Cardiff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with children to understand their individual needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and caring environment that promotes the well-being and development of children.
  • Support children in achieving their goals and aspirations, both academically and personally.
  • Work effectively with challenging behaviors, using positive role-modeling and de-escalation techniques.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • At least 6 months of up-to-date UK-based care experience working with children.
  • A clear DBS and enhanced disclosure (if applicable).
  • Driver with access to your own vehicle.
  • Reliable and flexible with a patient and nurturing approach.
  • Experience in report writing and working with children with EBD, ADHD, attachment issues, and other challenging behaviors.
